Living in the dark? Jesus wants to be your light!

John 8: 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The world you are living in can be a real dark place, no light coming in and that can be really depressive. If you are living in a dark world where there is no light coming in then I have good news for you.

Jesus Christ the Son of God is the light of the world, when you accept Him in your live then there shall come in light in to your live. Not any ordinary light but the light of live!

Jesus Christ the Light of the world died also for your sins and mistakes on the cross, whosoever believes in Him will not perish but, have everlasting live! (John 3:16)

The Lord, the good and loving Shepperd!

Psalm 23: 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

One verse of psalm 23, a beautiful psalm of faith, knowing for sure that the Lord is with you every time and never lets you go alone.

Wonderful when   you know that these words are true in your own life, that you know personally  that this is true. David knew that the Lord always was with Him, do you know it for sure?

You and me can also trust the Lord, He will also be at our side and when we need Him He will be there all the time. Don’t doubt   the Lord, trust Him in every period of your life and know that He wil be on your side!

Greetings and God bless, John

Don't be ashamed of the Gospel

In the letter Romans Paul says in the first chapter verse 16 the following: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

How is that with us? Are we ashamed of the gospel, ashamed of the  Gospel of Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose from the dead for us?

I hope that when you read this question you can answer it as follows: ‘ No I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ’

Jesus gave His live for you, He loves you personally, don’t keep the grace of God that is visible in and true    Jesus   Christ for yourself but , share it with everyone who wants to hear it. The grace of God is not something we can keep for our selves, it’s a gift for anyone who wants to hear it and believes it!

Don’t be ashamed of the Gospel, share it, tell people about the wonderful Grace from God that gives us Salvation in and true Jesus Christ!

Greetings and God Bless, John

Faith without works is dead

Believing in God is not only believing by words, believing in God and the mercy you received in and true Jesus Christ, is more than words alone! Do people see that you are a believer in Christ? Do they see that in the things you do? In the book of James we can read about the works that come with believing, James is saying how important it is to have works of faith!

James 2:14-26

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but have not works? can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked and in lack of daily food, 16 and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself. 18 Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from [thy] works, and I by my works will show thee [my] faith. 19 Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is barren? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Thou seest that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect; 23 and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God. 24 Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith. 25 And in like manner was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live

Galatians 2: 20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

What a great testimony, crucified with Christ nevertheless I live and not I but Jesus Christ lives in me! These words are from Paul in the letter of Galatians, can you repeat these words and apply them in your own life?

It must be wonderful to know that its Jesus Christ who is living in you and knowing that he gave Himself for you. No longer living for yourself but living for your Lord and savior.

I personally think that this testimony of Paul can be a testimony of all Christians, fully rely on the Lord your savior! Knowing that He is the King of your live and that it is because of Him that you are living!

Are you willing to give everything up and follow Jesus?

Luke 14: 33

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

This is one verse out of Luke 14, the last 10 verses are the base of this writing. (25-35) These 10 verses are talking about the price we are willing to pay. Jesus is telling the people that nobody can be His disciple if you are not willing to give up all your possessions, I think that this is not only a message for the people where Jesus was talking to but, I think that Jesus is talking to us as well.

There is no doubt about it, love is very important

1 Corinthians 13: 2

And if I have `the gift of' prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (American Standard Version 1901)

We can be good in a lot of things, such as Paul mentioned in this verse, but when we don’t have the Love then it is worth nothing. We can be great preachers or whatever but its from great importance that you and me have the love, not ordinary love but the love of the Lord. Jesus so loved you and me that he gave His live, so you can receive Grace and mercy from God!
